This is my brief demonstration of how powerful owning a blog can be to a first time entrepreneur. A blog can be about any topic and can be put together in several different ways. Let's go through the process of beginning your first website on any topic you pick.
STEP 1: Find some keywords and select your website based off a great keyword you can use. Search engines consider this when ranking your blog and it is good for identifying your blog's topic of interest. There are some awesome hosting companies around for you to buy a domain from or you can select to use a free blogging account with several free blog sites but having your own domain gives you a lot of control over your content.
STEP 2: As soon as you build your blog you will need it to have daily updated content. The search engines love fresh unique content and will reward your site with high rankings depending on your keywords. Getting fresh content to your blog can be a difficult task but you have options to make it all happen.
STEP 3: Receiving fresh content is easily done by going to any article directory site. The articles are free for you to use and you can get as many as you need. The rules to using articles from article directories are easy to understand, just keep the links to the original article and you can use them.
STEP 4: After you put together everything check to see if you are using your keywords in your title and body correctly. It will keep your pages relevant to the keywords you are trying to get rankings for. Check to see that the keywords you choose are easy to rank for and have low competition.
STEP 5: The next thing is to get some advertising links and products to advertise on your website. There are tons of affiliate programs for you to sign up with online. I suggest using some of your ad space on your blog to promote your affiliate links and products.
STEP 6: Now that you have done that start getting the word out about your website by getting visitors to it. You will be getting back links from many different sites to accomplish this. There are tons of places you can submit your site to like forums, article directories and social bookmarking sites.
STEP 7: Forums are a great way to get a quick back link to your blog and get noticed by others in the community. The more links you create the more higher your ranking in the search engines will be. make links moderately to the home page as well as your post pages as well.
STEP 8: With all the work you put in you will start to see some visitors coming in from all the sites you posted to. As the number of back links you placed come in you will begin to rise in the search engines. Now you just keep building your links and you will be making money online in no time.
